Born in Schleswig-Holstein in 1973, son of a tree nursery owner and gardener. After completing the general school education, I attended commercial school.

  • Training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant at Hass & Hatje Baustoffe.
  • Training as a gardener specialising in tree nurseries at Bradfisch from 1993 to 1995.
  • 1996 – Year abroad as a gardener at the Björkhaga tree nursery in Sweden.
  • 1997 – Employment in gardening and landscaping.
  • From 1998 Employment as a gardener at the loading yard and then in sales at the Clasen & Co. tree nursery.
  • From 2001 Managing Director and
  • from 2002 to 2022 Managing Director and partner at Clasen & Co.

Since 2024 founder, managing director and partner at nordic plant.

Florian Cordes

Born in Wedel, Schleswig-Holstein, in 1974. After finishing school, he trained as a gardener specialising in tree nurseries.

  • 1991-1994: Trained as a gardener specialising in tree nurseries at Adolf Steffen in Rellingen.
  • 1994-1996: Years of travelling as a journeyman in New Zealand and – even further afield – in Bavaria.
  • From 1996 – Employment as a journeyman in his parents’ business from 1996 (Hermann Cordes Tree Nurseries)
  • 1999 Successful master craftsman examination with trainer qualification.
  • From 2000, responsible for purchasing and sales in Germany, Denmark and Switzerland, as well as apprentice training.
  • 2008–2012: Co-founder and partner of Herman Cordes Baumschulen KG.
  • Freelancer in gardening and landscaping since 2012.
  • 2015: Establishment of an agricultural business for cattle breeding.

Responsible for purchasing and sales at nordic plant since 2024.

Flemming Hoge

Born in Schleswig Holstein in 1994, the course was already set in 2013 – after I finished school and completed a voluntary ecological year:

  • After finishing school, trained as a gardener in ornamental plant cultivation / consulting & sales
  • Followed by training as a wholesale and foreign trade merchant (Baumschule Lorenz v. Ehren)
  • Since 2021 Certified Business Administrator (IHK)

I have gained practical professional experience in both horticulture and business in recent years at renowned tree nurseries and garden centres: Jenkel, Wilstedter Gartenbau, Hans Reinke Baumschulen, von Hellms Export-Baumschule.

Responsible for sales in Germany at nordic plant since 2025.
